Due to lack of interest we will not participate in the seat back fundraiser at the stadium. I heard from ONLY 4 players that were willing to participate. I must say that I am a bit disappointed. I can only hope that you will embrace the next fundraiser!
Just a friendly reminder that ALL players should be registered at our web site. By registering, player's e-mails will be added and updated . All announcements will be sent via e-mail from the team site. This is the only way to receive team information during the off-season!

There will be a Girls Tennis Booster Club Meeting on Tuesday, July 3 @6pm in room 880 North Building of the State College Area High School.

Also, if you would like to be removed from this list please email me and I will remove your email.

I placed a web-based version of the videos on the web site. The quality is not excellent but it's good enough for the web. The photos and video link are available to anyone even if they do not have an account.
I am working on creating a DVD with multiple videos. I'll let you know when they are available.
We also have a CD of the photos used. We had some copies on Sunday that we gave out. If anyone would like another copy of the CD, please let me know.

2005 Financial Statement

Margie Swoboda introduced this years Officers:
- Margie Swoboda, President
- Lisa Berkey, Treasurer
- John Cieply, Secretary

The Booster club needed to supply 4 names to the Athletic Department. Steve Newberg volunteered to be Vice President.

The Booster club applied to Gatoraide for a promotion to provide Gatoraide for the season. The Gatoraide was ordered, but it may take up to 8 weeks for delivery. We hope that it will arrive soon.

The Purpose of the Booster Club was discussed:
- To assist Jane and the coaches with anything they would need help with.
- To assist the Girls by providing food and encouragement throughout the season.
- To provide monetary assistance to support the team, since the budget that Jane has is minimal.

Lisa Berkey provided a Treasurer's report of last years income and expenditures. A copy of the report can be found on the Website in the news section. The Booster Club Dues is $50 per family. Please write the checks out to "S.C.A.S.D. Girls Tennis Booster Club".

Jane produces and end of year slide show at the banquet. John Cieply is working on the Memory Book for this season. If you take any photos, please share them with Jane and John. John could use help from a JV parent for the Memory Book. Please contact him, would like to help with the Memory Book.

The State College Invitational is September 22 & 23. There is a need to house girls from 2 of the teams. If you have an extra bed or two to house the girl(s) overnight, please sign up on the clipboard that will be available at the USTA tournament or can be found at Parents Night.

There is also a sign up sheet to help with providing food for the teams, See Maria Mooney to signup for a Match. We will look into the availability of obtaining the previous days bagels and more from Penera Bread.

You were provided with Clothing order forms or you can get a new one at the website in the News section. If you plan to purchase any clothing, please complete the forms by Tuesday's Parent Night or have your girl give them to Maria DiMuccio. Please write the checks out to "S.C.A.S.D. Girls Tennis Booster Club".

We desperately need ideas for Fund Raising. Last year the Booster club spent over $1,600. This year there are almost twice as many girls. Applebees's has offered a Fund Raising night. They will donate 20% of the sales to the team. We will look into a date to schedule this.

The 2006 Girls Tennis Booster Club meeting was held last night - June 8, 2006. I know that many of you were busy so below is the list of topics that were covered. OUR NEXT MEETING - JULY 19, 2006 - ROOM 880 North

1. The 2006 Tennis Schedule is listed on our website - Statecollegegirlstennis.org
This includes both the JV and the Varsity Schedules as well as the State College Invitational on September 22, 2006. It also include the school dismissal times.

2. We are in need of volunteers to chair the following committees - Don't be bashful or shy - you can sign up for one or several...

Senior Night - October 10, 200

Banquet Co Chairs - Either Oct 29 or Nov 5 - Brunch - same as last year at MNMS

Food Chair for home and away games

Memory Book

Videos (Jane would like to have as much video footage as she can get, so if you are video taping games and/or practices, please let her know).

3. Jane brought several samples of clothes for the clothing order. John Cieply will put the order on the web site for you to take a look. We would like to order the clothes early so that we have everything for the first match. Please give me a call if you have any questions.

4. Aug 14 is the first day of practice. The last day for physicals is August 7.

5. Both Jane and Larry are available for lessons for the summer. Jane also highly recommends the PSU tennis camp - Larry also runs a clinic every Thursday starting on 6/15 - 10:30 to noon at Toftrees. There is a cost involved with the clinic. Please give Larry or Jane a call for more details

6. Fund Raising - We need to discuss this further. We have a few expenses that we can predict will occur already such as: Jane would like the BC to purchase sweatshirts for $350.00. Jane has also looked into the Gatorade promotion for teams. The cost is 175.00 for the season. It will provide gatorade for every match and practice. We still will need to provide water and bagels and fruit..
