Altoona is just a good team. Some good did come out of this loss, as our #2 doubles team stepped up and won a tough match. Borden and Oliver also played well in singles, but had trouble converting key points.

Alexa had a great tournament and played an excellent final match. Caitlin Baker was just a level above and she controlled most of the match. Alexa had som opportunities in the second set, but just could not capitalize.
Note: Caitlin Baker is a 4 time District 6 Singles Champion. Alexa has lost to Baker the last two times.

This was a tough loss. Alexa Gregory an Katy Borden played awesome singles matches and Kelly McGill held on for a win at #4. Our doubles teams faultered again with Alexa Gregory an Katy Borden losing a three set thriller.
The Match lasted 4:30 hours and ended at 8:15pm.

Kelly McGill and Hanna Righter played well in their first round and challenged the #1 seeds in the second match. Katy Borden and Alexa Gregory cruised in the opening round and were up 5-0 in both sets in the semis, but got a bit tentative towards the then.

This was a well played match by several of the girls. Alexa Gregory came up with a huge win defeating Caitlin Baker in 3 sets. Baker had a four year undefeated record, in league play, snapped by Alexa. It is always tough to end the season with a los, but we played well and had our chances. Hopefully, this will carry over into next year.
